Just one month after the Stranger Things series finale aired, the first trailer for Stranger Things: Tales from '85 is here to take us right back to the Upside Down.

Netflix is previewing "Stranger Things: Tales from '85." The streamer released a trailer Monday that shows the animated characters facing monsters.

Set between the events of seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix show, Tales from ‘85 premieres on April 23, and it will use the style of a Saturday morning cartoon to offer the same mix of nostalgic fun and horror as the core series.

Netflix has shared the first official look at its upcoming Stranger Things animated spinoff, and fans are already talking. The new series is called Stranger Things: Tales from ’85. It is set during the winter of 1985 and takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of the original show.

It has held onto a spot in the Top 10 since ending in late 2025, and it’s still in there at the end of January. Check out the full list, as well as when they debuted as a Netflix original or were added to the library:
